“No man knows the day and hour”

If you are a student of the future events predicted in the Bible, you’ve almost certainly heard the verse quoted, “No man knows the day and the hour” (Matthew 24:36). My experience is that this is often brought up by folks who want to negate the revealed plan of the future that Bible prophecy presents. And I suppose a light reading of that verse could persuade some people to look at things that way. In other words, “No man knows the day and hour” so therefore “Forget about the whole thing! Don’t even try to understand it.” Or so they say.

Every one of us has countless decisions which we must face every day of our lives. Every time of conflict, of testing and trial is a time of DECISION. But the point is, HOW do you make your decisions? How can you KNOW you are making the right ones, those which will bring the best results and help you achieve your goals?
Putting it simply, for true Christians, MAKING A DECISION IS ACTUALLY FINDING OUT WHAT GOD’S WILL IS; what God knows will be best according to how HE sees the situation. After all, only GOD is way out there in FRONT, and only He knows what is going to happen, and only He is able to lead us.

But the worst thing in the World to do is to keep going ahead when you don’t know what to do. That was the tragic mistake of so many of history’s failures who thought they didn’t need the Lord’s direction. Sooner or later it always proves true that those who SUCCEED in God’s Kingdom are those who look to God’s WORD to lead them, and the ones who fail are those who go without it.

One time someone ask Jesus, “What is the greatest commandment men need to keep?” And Jesus answered, “You should love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul & all your mind.-This is the greatest commandment.” (Mat 22-37, 38)

So what steps can we take to love Jesus, not only put JESUS FIRST in our lives, but also to KEEP Him in that place? One way is in our daily service for Him. ASK the Lord in prayer about everything you do before you do it, and make sure that’s what HE wants you to do! You will find that this principle holds true even in your everyday work. When faced with pressing deadlines, the temptation is often to crowd the Lord out of our lives and concentrate solely on our work. We’ve all done it at times, but putting the Lord LAST simply is NOT the solution!

God has blessed and prospered many a great Christian businessman because they put JESUS FIRST in their everyday decisions! The famous industrialist and multi-millionaire, Robert G. LeTourneau, tells a story of when he was first starting out in business, operating one small factory: “One night I had to make a design for a new machine so that a crew of men on contract could build it the next morning. However, that same night I had been invited to go witnessing with some young Christian friends. The Lord and I had quite a struggle while I was trying to decide what to do!

Our attractive young travel agent started off by saying how sick she was and how she got this medicine to try to cure it. But then I told her how I didn’t have much confidence in medicine and had more faith in keeping God’s health laws, the rules of health.

We described the rules: proper diet, rest, exercise and right living, not abusing our bodies, and keeping God’s health laws, which we then related to keeping God’s laws in general for our own general happiness and well-being.

Then I said, “Well, after all, if He created us, He knows what is best for us. He’s like a father to us as His children and He wants us to be healthy and happy, so He has set down the rules to keep us from getting hurt or damaging our bodies.

“Of course, one of the greatest of healing factors is faith,” I added, “to know that God loves you and cares for you and is going to take care of you no matter what happens. Faith eliminates one of the greatest causes of disease and ill health, and that’s fear and tension (she was talking about headaches).

“Because then you have peace of mind and you can just rest in the Lord knowing He’s going to take care of everything, which eliminates one of the major causes of psychosomatic diseases.”

Catching Pokemons or Scoring Indian Souls That Live Forever?

Had a great time yesterday tracting in Taipei. I was at a local park in the afternoon when families and children came out to play Pokemon together. Yes. Pokemon is not forbidden in Taiwan. Taiwan is not worried about Google, the US State Department, and the CIA filming and video-ing everything and everybody in the name of the game! A SPY game! What Google failed to accomplish via Google Glass – filming & video-ing the entire world and all its inhabitants! – it achieved through a stupid game: Catching imaginary digital little monsters!

And you know how they do it here? They sit in the cool airconditioning of a bus, and instead of in the heat catching 300 Meters worth of Pokemons in 1 minute, they catch 1 KM worth of Pokemons in less than a minute. But thank God they don’t turn on their cameras in the bus. That seems to hinder the catching. Poor poor bamboozled people. They are serving the Powers-That-Be, by playing spy- games for them.

It seems that humanity has begun to split in two, as in the days of Moses, when the Israelites seperated from the Egyptians for to be persecuted and enslaved, until Moses set them free from the greedy clutches of the Pharaohs, and somehow got them out of the country for a worship session in the Desert bringing the Egyptians gold with them. The simple slaves of the Egyptian system & establishment and God’s free-thinking Israelites!

2. WAR IS THE ULTIMATE COMBINATION OF THE WORSHIP OF ALL THESE THINGS, at what man considers his greatest, using the best of all of these!–Man at his best, which is his worst!–WAR! His most destructive worst, his greatest strength, his greatest genius, his greatest inventive power and his greatest spirit, patriotism or whatever you want to call it, is used for war and a competitive spirit against others who are doing the same!
3. THE OLYMPICS IS A SPORTS FAIR, A FLESH FAIR, FLESH PEDDLERS! See how this competitive sports thing has been the final stages of every great civilisation and empire!–The worship of the body! It’s very sexual too, as you notice, all these things are very sexy. So sex is included as a part, but in some ways a very minor part. Like the System, sports glorifies sex, but at the same time belittles it and pretends to dislike it.
