Had a great time yesterday tracting in Taipei. I was at a local park in the afternoon when families and children came out to play Pokemon together. Yes. Pokemon is not forbidden in Taiwan. Taiwan is not worried about Google, the US State Department, and the CIA filming and video-ing everything and everybody in the name of the game! A SPY game! What Google failed to accomplish via Google Glass – filming & video-ing the entire world and all its inhabitants! – it achieved through a stupid game: Catching imaginary digital little monsters!
And you know how they do it here? They sit in the cool airconditioning of a bus, and instead of in the heat catching 300 Meters worth of Pokemons in 1 minute, they catch 1 KM worth of Pokemons in less than a minute. But thank God they don’t turn on their cameras in the bus. That seems to hinder the catching. Poor poor bamboozled people. They are serving the Powers-That-Be, by playing spy- games for them.
It seems that humanity has begun to split in two, as in the days of Moses, when the Israelites seperated from the Egyptians for to be persecuted and enslaved, until Moses set them free from the greedy clutches of the Pharaohs, and somehow got them out of the country for a worship session in the Desert bringing the Egyptians gold with them. The simple slaves of the Egyptian system & establishment and God’s free-thinking Israelites!
Now, the world is splitting up into bamboozled zombies on smart phones playing silly games for the present Pharaoh and his henchmen, but the Israelites of today (NOT Israelis! Mind you!) are coming out of Egypt, seeing through all the lies, scams, cover-ups, and nonsense. Oh how it hurts me to see the modern zombies sitting in the trains watching their little idiot boxes. Probably catching imaginary pokemons, or telling all their lives to Google!
We are living in an Image- Nation! And Icon-ocracy! A idol-worshipping mass of simpletons. And then Christian zombies blame Asians for being idol worshippers? While they worship the Image Nation! The icons of the dead anime and pokemon game entities or Hellywood creations like Mr. America, Thor, and Spiderman, and who ever is popular now, finding some excuse to get away with this idol worship of game reality. Poor simpletons.
I was out among them yesterday with my fishing hook and bait box being a professional fisher of man for Jesus Christ, and I had a great time loving up the dear simpletons with kindness, sweetness, encouragement, happy smiles and words, making jokes, giving out the tracts (that you can find on our blog to download, so you can become a fisherman or woman too) and I had a swell time!
As soon as I found a good fishing spot and threw in my lines (the words of God in cartoon style) I began to automatically smile when I started to give away tracts. That always happens! I don’t have to do a thing! I start handing out the stuff, and that good old Holy Spirit begins to take over. (You should try it someday! It may change your life! It is the happiest activity I know.)
Many of my local Taipei co-citizens happily received tracts. They either read them on the spot or put them away for later perusal. Everyone was nice and polite except for some frowning sceptic foreigners who somehow made it to this happy country, and I also met many brothers and sisters of local churches who were happy to announce that they are Christians too, and to find out what church I belong too. I tell them “to the Church of Jesus Christ!” and that seems to satisfy them, as I don’t attend a physical church building.
But I was well underway, when I met a young Indian guy from New Delhi, an electronics student who also wirks on some projects here. A smart guy! He spoke very good English without that cute strong Indian accent, and happened to be greatly interested in Jesus! He had never read the Bible. So I gave him a free copy of the Gospel of St. Mark in English I noramlly carry with me, which he treasured and vowed to read at home.
He asked me about my life and was amazed that there are still Western missionaries who live by faith, trusting God for their income. He had specific questions about God and Sex, God’s view on masturbation and pornography, and I gave him some liberating answers, which he appeared to like, but I won’t repeat here now, for lack of time. The answers helped him to have more faith in God’s Grace and that we can never be justified by keeping the law.
But also that the entire Bible doesn’t even mention “masturbation” nor refers to it. Although some uneducated people think that Onan in the Bible was “masturbating”, which he wasn’t, he was just “leaving the church before the sermen!” So that, plus my personal experiences 😉 along that line, seemed to encourage our dear Indian friend. He was amazed at “the liberty wherewith Christ has set us free”… from the LAW!
While I was explaining about keeping the Law, two policemen on electric scooters drove up silently behind me. No! Not for me yet, for the local hawkers who immediately packed up their soap-bubble-blowing children toys and snacks, under the eye of the police chose to scram with their carts. The policemen didn’t book or threaten them, other than drive up to them while they scattered and left.
It was a perfect illustration of Law versus Grace! I explained to my new Indian friend that we all break the Law and that God understands that we can hardly do anything else. We are all sinners! Now GRACE came in the form of Jesus Christ who sacrificed His own Soul as payment for our fines and sins, and that we can go free when we accept His payment.
I told him that Jesus didn’t come for the law abiding “goodie goodie” people, but for the Law-breaking hawkers we just saw. Why? Because any honest person would confess that he is a “law breaking hawker” also, and needs to be gotten of the hook for their sins.
So everyone is guilty, but many humans don’t think so. Many think they are pretty good and righteous and don’t need to be forgiven. They think they are not lost, so they don’t need to found! They think they are not perishing, so therefore don’t need to be recorded for eternity, like a sound will be lost without a recorder, or a tree without a photograph, or a thought without a pen and notebook. We all have need of soul registration in Heaven! But those who don’t think so, can not be saved, sadly!
And that is exactly what Jesus said, “I didn’t come to call the righteous, but sinners to repent!” (repent= metanoia= turn around, change your mind, or think differently!) So, we are much safer to be sinners.. as that means we can be saved. But the poor good people don’t need the doctor because they think they are not sick.
Then I told him that as the dry ground beside us under the tree where we were standing, needed seed to grow grass, we also need a Seed to gain Eternal Life! And Jesus was that Seed! Then I proved that what I told him was written in the Gospel by showing him the necessary simple verses like John chapter 1:12-13, where it says that “the people who received Him (Jesus the Seed) to them He gave the right (privilege) to BECOME the children of God, to those who believe on His Name, who were born… of God!”
After pondering that verse for a minute, I showed Him that we needed a second birth to be born of God. That we came into this world as mere lost creatures and were not yet children of God by nature, but that we needed to be born a 2nd time, spiritually, to become a spiritual baby of God. So I showed him John chapter 3.
3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
3:9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
3:10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
He read that for himself, after I stuck the page under his nose, and he nodded when he was finished and said, “I see, we need a spiritual birth!”
Bingo! He had received the Word and got conceived in the Spiritual womb from the seed of the Word!”
Well, the rest was a piece of cake. He had already received the Word (Jesus) by accepting His counsel to be born twice, and so I invited him to receive the spiritual Seed Jesus, and showed him that Jesus said, “Look! I stand at the door of your heart) and knock, IF any man hears my voice and opens the door, I will come inside of him (her) and will dine with him and he with me!”
So, he said, “So I have to open the door and let him in!” It was already done in the Spirit, so I took him to the altar where Jesus was happily waiting and he humble prayed with me to ask Him into his heart and he became the Bride of Christ! Hal-le-lu-jah! A new baby born into the Kingdom, saved forever! We prayed together, “Dear Jesus, forgive me for my sins, come into my heart, give me eternal life, and fill me with your Holy Spirit right now! Amen! Thanks Jesus! ”
I told him, “We are brothers now, forever and ever, and we woll surely meet again in Heaven after this life is over where we will live for ever and ever, world without end! And he was happy to hear that. So we made an appointment to meet again. he will probably come to my home, where we can delve into the finer points of his spiritual marriage to Jesus, his new husband, and how the new life takes form in this life, etc.
It was a wonderful day yesterday. I have a brand-new Indian brother! And my little baby brother is so sweet and cute, even though his natural body is well into the 20-ies. But new born children of God are just so lovable.
We talked for about 1- 1/2 hours and I had to continue with the sowing, and he had to go as well, and so we parted ways. Even if I never see him again, I know the Lord will take care f him, but I got at least his email, so can always write him.
Well, I hope this inspires you as well, to know that YOU ALSO have a new Indian brother from new Delhi, whom we will meet in the World to come! So dear family, forget about scoring pokemon monsters, we will have lots more fun scoring souls for His everlasting Kingdom. Remember SOULS are forever. Diamonds and pokemons are merely temporal and will not make it to heaven!
