Jesus promised that we’re even going to go beyond what He Himself was able to do!–And why shouldn’t we? Today’s population is greater, the need is greater, the opportunities are greater, and the hour is greater, even the means are greater, with the printed word, radio, television, air travel, the mails and much, much more! We’ve got all the means, and the greatest opportunities in history at our disposal!
We’ve probably reached more millions of people with our message in this world today than there were on Earth when Jesus was here! He never personally won as many souls as we’ve won. He ever personally visited as many countries or spoke as many languages or printed as much literature or was on radio or television, but we have done all these things!
We have done all these things which are even greater than what Jesus did while He was here! But of course, “It is Christ that is working in you!” (Phi.2:13). He has done them and it is all His work! So we have done greater things even than Jesus did when He was here on Earth–not greater things than Jesus has ever done, because He’s done it all through us, praise the Lord?
Never underestimate the power of personal witnessing to not only win souls, but inspire and encourage your own heart, set you on fire and keep you alive spiritually as you battle right on the front line in the Hell holes of the Devil to rescue lost sheep!
“The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself” (Pro.11:25). Witnessing in itself is a form of reward and blessing and encouragement, and it inspires our own hearts as we watch the Lord work. It will not only be worth it all when we see Jesus, but it’s worth it all right now to see the wonderful, thrilling and satisfying results of our labors!
Everyone we witness to, we’re wooing them in the Spirit.–Wooing and loving and sowing the seed of God’s Word in the Spirit. We can’t win them all!–But God will give us enough to keep us encouraged, so we won’t quit!–And those we do win are worth it all!
“Seldom can a heart be lonely,
If it seeks a lonelier still.
Self-forgetting, seeking only
Emptier cups of love to fill!”
–The more you give, the more He will give you!
Jesus is our Message! We preach Jesus! We preach His Word, we preach His Love, we preach His Gospel, the Good News of Salvation, we preach faith in Him, we preach Him as the answer to all of our needs–physical, spiritual, mental and with hope for the future and Heaven at last! This Message answers all our questions, meets all our needs and is the solution to all the problems of the whole world if they would just listen and receive it and obey it!
What Jesus said is still true, regardless of nationality, country, color or creed: “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me!” (Jn.12:32). All we need to do is go out into the highways and the byways and the hedges and compel them to come in (Luk.14:23). We need to call them.
We have to bid them to come. Although we’re His bride, we’re also a type of the bridegroom calling them to come–wooing them by His Spirit. So show them love, His love! Point them to Him and constantly glorify Him, Jesus, and His Love! If they want Him, they will come, and His Spirit will explode in their hearts!
It’s all Jesus! Thank the Lord!
The Lord tried to make the Christian life so easy that anybody could do it. He walked those dusty roads and talked to the simple fishermen and the tax collectors and the radicals, drunks, and harlots to show them that God loved them all and they could all love God, they could all be Christians, they could all love each other and serve each other and serve the world with the Gospel!
God changed His whole System when He found out we couldn’t keep His laws.–So He made a way of escape of mercy, forgiveness and grace, Salvation. Now nobody has any excuse for blaming their problems on God because He has made a way out, a way to get the victory, a way to overcome our sins and faults and shortcomings and problems and weaknesses, whatever they may be. He has given us the Way, the Truth and the Life, Jesus! (Jn.14:6). Jesus paid the price, making the way. He’s given us the Message, the Truth, and He can help us to live the kind of life we ought to live.
He never asks of any of us a standard that is beyond our particular individual reach. Whatever He asks, we can do!–With His help and by His grace and through His power and His love we can attain it!
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (Jn.3:16).
Jesus made the way for us to be saved when He climbed Mount Calvary and died alone for the sins of the world! That was a price that He alone could pay for you and me!–But He did it!
“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren” (1Jn.3:16).
Jesus alone could save us, but He cannot save us alone.–If we’re really saved we’re going to want to take others with us. We can’t work for our own Salvation, but we can work for the Salvation of others! These works are not required for Salvation, but they will come as works of love and labors of love for the Lord! They’re a manifestation of Salvation and your love for the Lord and others! Once we get saved, the most important job each of us has is to give our lives daily in loving concern and care for others! Jesus came to love the world, and He calls us to do likewise in every facet of our lives!
No witnessing is ever wasted! God will see to it that if you cast your bread on the waters it will accomplish the purpose whereunto He has sent it. His Word shall not return unto Him void (Ecc.11:1; Isa.55:11).
Witnessing always pays and it always accomplishes results. Whether you win souls or not, you’re obeying God and doing His Will and fulfilling your obligation of preaching the Gospel in all the world to every creature and delivering your soul! Even the blood of those who wouldn’t listen and who rejected you and your Message will not be upon your hands.
The Word will do the work. Once You’ve given them the Word, your job is done. They can then choose to go to Heaven or to Hell. Witnessing is merely delivering God’s Message. What the people do about it is between them and God. When you have “warned the wicked of their wicked way,” you have delivered your soul (Eze.3:19). To deliver their souls they must then receive and believe the Word of God!
God’s Word never fails!–It either saves or damns! So even if you never win a soul, you’re still winning as long as you’re faithfully witnessing!
The pen is mightier than the sword! Men of God have seldom ruled empires but they won worlds of men with their words, faith and ideas which captured hearts, minds, spirits and set them forever free! God’s eternal Kingdom of His Words of life and love have conquered worlds of men’s eternal spirits, far greater, longer-lasting and happier than man’s mere worldly empires of the sword!
The words of God’s prophets have crossed the ages and swept around the Earth and changed the course of nations! The words of their ideals have changed the hearts of men and given hopes for a better world! It’s the Bible that’s built great Christian Empires and saved millions from hopeless, Christless tombs and given the Love of God through Jesus to a world dying for His Love! His Words are Spirit and they are life (Jn.6:63). Without them everything would be totally dead.
This is the most powerful weapon in the world, the Word of God. It can do more than split atoms! It can change hearts and no atom bomb has done that yet. It can change minds, but no number of bullets have ever done that. That’s what the words of love can do, they change the hearts of men!
Tribe Hears The Gospel of Jesus For First Time & Goes Wild !!!!!!!!!! This is the greatest news these people have ever heard. They are forgiven for their sins! Can you imagine New Yorkers or Californians hearing that news with such a reaction? They don’t think they are that bad. Like most Americans I meet trying to give them a Gospel tract. Standard reaction? “No thanks! I am good!” Ha! And they are actually the worst in the world, generally speaking! (except for Israel perhaps?)
Jesus Film shown to the Gamo Tribe. Watch the pure emotion and belief, and the kids sorrow at the crucifixion! “Unless you become as little children you will in no wise enter the Kingdom of heaven!”
21In so many countries of the world today, their greatest problem is their children. What they fail to realize is that the world of tomorrow is what the adults of today make it, according to what they choose to give or not to give the next generation! Capture the youth and you’ve conquered the future!
“Train up a child in the way he should go,” the Bible says, “and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Pro.22:6). We need to mold their minds and educate them and inspire them and encourage them, and most of all we really need to build their faith!
Children are the most sincere people in the world.–And they’re at the age of malleability when they can still be bent and molded. It’s an age of choice, an age of decision. It takes time and patience and understanding and lots of real love to reach them but that’s actually when most people accept the Lord.
“Open the door for the children,
Tenderly gather them in,
In from the highways and hedges,
In from the fields of sin.
Open the door for the children,
Tenderly gather them in.”
–For of such is the Kingdom of God! (Mark 10:14).
What does that really mean, “Wait on the Lord”? Well, a lot of people have taken that to mean they’re supposed to sit around doing nothing while they wait for God to do something. They’re waiting for God to do something for them rather than with them. They’re not waiting on God!–God’s waiting on them to get busy!
Finding God’s Will is not just sitting around doing nothing!–It’s doing what you can! The secret is doing something else while you’re waiting. To “wait on the Lord” is like a servant waits on his master. That’s the kind of waiting the Lord is talking about. “Wait on the Lord” like a waiter or a waitress, serve the Lord, keep busy!
And that’s what we do for the house of God: We are His servants taking care of His house, His children. We feed and clothe them and take care of His babies, and He really is grateful for our help and admires us for our service. The picture of waiting on the Lord is like waiters and waitresses waiting on a customer, where the customer is king and can do no wrong! That’s serving the Lord, that’s waiting on the Lord, that’s ministering to the Lord and others!
